From idea to Sulley Pullover

Inspired by Monsters Inc., the Sulley Pullover brings that fuzzy, lovable monster to life. This classic, oversized varsity pullover features a dropped shoulder and a super soft, cozy texture. It's worked from the top down, so you can easily customize the length for the perfect fit.

This pattern is knit with one strand of Pickles Big Fuzz, a fuzzy
(Chunky) mohair and a strand of Pickles Bliss, a fingering weight alpaca.

The pullover is first worked flat from the neckline down. Beginning the neckline of the back panel, the sweater is knit with increases on each side which create the sleeve. Stitches are picked up along the shoulder line rows to create the front panels with the V-neck
shaping. The front and back panel are joined at the center of the V and the sweater is then knit in the round to finish the body. Stitches are picked up for the sleeves and worked in the round.

To create the fuzzy texture wet blocking method is recommended. When pullover is partially dried, use a dog brush to brush out mohair which will create the extra fuzzy texture.

blocking.
